Tips for conversation (11-14)
1. When predatory behavior is suspected, parents are notified, and the exact wording of the comment is shared.
2. Inform your child that you got another notification that someone made sexualized comments towards them or other gamers they were playing with.
3. Encourage your child to open up about it, even if they feel uncomfortable sharing the language with you.
4. Let your child know that you understand that they are at an age when friends and others around their age are using sexual comments and maybe the comments didn’t affect them. Explain to your child that there is a difference between one incident and repeated behavior that makes other players feel scared or uncomfortable.
5. Explain to them that they can pick who they want to play with and can always mute the chat and report/ block players who are acting inappropriately
